She went to a plastic surgeon in the early 1950’s to get an issue with her ear fixed. Upon the doctor’s learning of her arrival, he took her into his clinic, sat her down on on the operating table, and spent roughly an hour taking dozens and dozens of measurements of her nose. When he had finished, Loy got the courage to ask him what it was all about. He replied that her nose was, by far, his most requested. She never ended up getting the issue with her ear fixed…
